Hello I'm Miss Cook. I love my job as an LSA! I love to teach children whilst having lots of fun! I have two girls, we love going to the caravan and seaside and on lots of adventures in the great outdoors!

Miss Beachill

Hi my name is Miss Beachill. I have just returned from maternity leave and am excited to be back at WCPS working with some amazing staff and pupils in EYFS. On weekends I love to go on adventures with my family and having relaxing movie nights with my children.

Miss Phillips

Hi i'm Miss Phillips and i started working at WCPS back in 2013 as an Early Years Practioner in Rising Stars. I then became a Learning Support Assistant in EYFS and i am now currently based in KS1. I love working with children, to me they're not just our pupils but are like our little extended families. When i'm not at work i spend all my free time with my gorgeous little family making lovely memories. I'm a mum of 2 boys and 2 girls. We love to travel, go on nice walks, read, bake, get creative, goto the cinemas etc.

Hi I’m Miss Higgins and this is my first year at WCPS and I’m already loving being in FS2 seeing our children playing and learning! When I’m not at school I enjoy visiting fun places with my daughter Maisie and spending time outdoors with our little dog Ruby, before cuddling up in front of a film with our family.

Hi, my name is Miss Booth and I have been at WCPS for over 11 years now! I am a HLTA and I teach PSHE throughout the school. I have just finished my foundation degree at university to hopefully become a teacher!! When I am not at school I am usually out walking my dog Alfie, who is absolutely bonkers!

Mrs Wright

Music Teacher

Hi, I'm Mrs Wright and I'm obsessed with music! I have been teaching for over 20 years which must mean I started teaching age 5! A keen musician myself, I play piano, violin and viola and run lots of choirs both in and out of school. I love discovering hidden talents in children; a privilege I have experienced many times at WCPS, both through music and drama teaching. I have led the choir, drama club and string orchestra in performances at places such as the Royal Albert Hall, and Barnsley Civic. When not at school I enjoy running Barnsley Youth Choir with my husband and cycling and playing with my three children, Ruby (11), Maisy (9) and George (7).

Mrs Dawson

Hi I'm Mrs Dawson tI love it at Worsbrough Common and class it as my second home. I love the team, I enjoy learning the children and watching them grow. When I'm not at school I'm busy at home being a mum to my little girl and who keeps me very busy, I also enjoy going out for tea and spending time with friends and family.

Hi, my name is Miss Wogan and I've been here, at wcps, since 2013. I have a BA Honours in the social sciences: phychology and sociology. I have had various roles at wcps from spending time in the early years providing nurture interventions to 2 years in resource provision supporting children with SEND, including classroom support and providing speech and language interventions. I like to be kept busy as I am at home with my 3 children, 3 grandchildren, 2 dogs, 2 chickens, 15 rabbits (at present) and not to forget ...the goldfish.

Hi, I’m Mrs Smith, the newly married Miss Voyse! My teaching career started at WCPS when I came here to do my teacher training and I’ve loved every minute of it! I absolutely love teaching maths and engaging children to become great mathematicians. I’m caring and fun and enjoy putting smiles on children’s faces in the classroom!

I’m Miss Wiggan and I currently teach year 2. I love learning and discovering new things!  I really enjoy reading and story time is one of my favourite parts of the school day!

My name is Mrs Howell and I think a day without laughter is a wasted day. I am very lucky because I get to spend my days off with my little boy Theodore! I also enjoy watching live music, especially at festivals. I absolutely love my job and couldn't imagine being anywhere but WCPS!

I am Miss Pearson and currently in my 6th year of teaching at WCPS! I’m very excited to be teaching in Year 1 this year. I have a daughter called Florence and a dog called Bertie. I love Italian food, fashion and holidays. My favourite place in the world is Santorini, Greece.

Hello my name is Miss Newell and I have worked at WCPS for nearly 3 years. I have a passion for learning and watching all our children develop and progress. I have two girls at home who keep me busy and I spend most of my spare time at the side of a football pitch watching my daughter play.

Mrs Dransfield

Year 5 Teacher

I’m MRs Dransfield. My favourite things to teach are literacy and history. I also love books and one of my favourite times of the day is story time! When I’m not at school I’m outnumbered by boys at home, they keep me busy with football matches and other activities and drive me crazy with gaming! You’ll hear me talk a lot about my miniature schnauzer called Billy. I spend lots of my free time walking with him and tracking my steps. The other things I enjoy are travelling to different places, especially cities, and eating out.

Hi! I'm Miss Kershaw. Some of my favourite things include reading, watching movies, and all things superhero. I appreciate cheesy jokes and random facts. At home, I have two cats called Loki and Parker - can you guess where I got the names from?

I'm Mrs Hayes! I have taught at schools across the trust for over 14 years and I love working with children, teaching them new things and having lots of fun. I sometimes cover classes at WCPS and I love it here! At home, I love to spend time with my family and I enjoy visiting new places and making happy memories together.

I have worked in school for around 9 years and started as a lunchtime assistant. I began working as a learning assistant nearly 7 years ago. I am based in EYFS so get to spend my days with 3-5 yr olds who keep me super busy. When I'm not at school I'm looking after my 2 teenage boys and my little dog. I love snuggling up under a blanket with a cup of tea and a book (Harry Potter is one of my favourites)!

Hi, my name is Mrs Hill, the newly married Miss Douglas. I am well travelled, and love to take a risk on my adventures. I have climbed Mount Everest (to base camp), fished in Central America, and boarded down an active volcano! Ask me about the amazing place I have been. Hi I am Mrs Tyas. I worked at WCPS for nearly 10 years. During my time I have had a variety of job roles in school including the attendance lead, supporting positive attendance across school. My passion is ensuring children feel safe, secure and happy in school. I am mum to three boys and two dogs and I love to be outside. I have now retired from full time work however you will see me occasionally covering across the school!

Hi my name is Ms Bell and I started WCPS in March of 2023. I love my time here and enjoy working with all the children and staff. I have two boys that are both in secondary school and my home is like a little zoo, I have 2 cats ,Peggy and Poppy, one hamster called Marleen, six fish and twenty stick insects! I love to do puzzles and spend time with my boys.

Hi, my name is Mrs Hijazi. I love reading and maths, also I enjoy cooking and baking. Since my journey started at WCPS I enjoyed every little bit of it. I now teaching computing across school. My name is Miss Haigh, I have worked at WCPS for 25 years in many roles but currently as a HLTA and RE subject Lead. When I’m not at school I am a volunteer youth leader in a local Girls’ Brigade group. I also love to travel exploring new and exciting places around the world, visiting the theatre to see live performances and I enjoy to eat out with friends and family.
