Worsbrough Common Primary School is a larger than average sized primary school with 468 pupils on role. We have a 52 place nursery for children from the age of three. The school has a specialist resourced provision which caters for 10 pupils who have language and communication needs. School attendance target is 97%. Our current school priorities are improving outcomes, particularly in reading and writing to bring them inline with national averages. School are also working to improve whole school attendance.
This morning we took the butterflies from nursery to the woods. We talked about how they had grown and how the children had looked after the caterpillars and chrysalises. We talked about how we needed to look after the butterflies by setting them free so that they could find leaves and flowers and maybe lay some eggs.
