I am Head of School at WCPS and I have worked here for over 10 years and have loved every minute! Prior to this I taught abroad in Dubai. I am passionate about reading and have a slight addiction to buying children's books! I love it when children stop me in the corridor to tell me what book they are reading and about a new author they have discovered. I have 2 children of my own aged 10 and 7 who keep me very busy and in my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Hi I'm Miss Tindle and this is my 9th year at WCPS. Previously to this year I was based in EYFS, and taught computing across the school in the afternoon as an HLTA. This year I am training to be a teacher and you will find me in Year 1. I’m MRs Dransfield. My favourite things to teach are literacy and history. I also love books and one of my favourite times of the day is story time! When I’m not at school I’m outnumbered by boys at home, they keep me busy with football matches and other activities and drive me crazy with gaming! You’ll hear me talk a lot about my miniature schnauzer called Billy. I spend lots of my free time walking with him and tracking my steps. The other things I enjoy are travelling to different places, especially cities, and eating out.

Hi, I'm Mrs Wright and I'm obsessed with music! I have been teaching for over 20 years which must mean I started teaching age 5! A keen musician myself, I play piano, violin and viola and run lots of choirs both in and out of school. I love discovering hidden talents in children; a privilege I have experienced many times at WCPS, both through music and drama teaching. I have led the choir, drama club and string orchestra in performances at places such as the Royal Albert Hall, and Barnsley Civic. When not at school I enjoy running Barnsley Youth Choir with my husband and cycling and playing with my three children, Ruby (11), Maisy (9) and George (7).

Hi i'm Miss Phillips and i started working at WCPS back in 2013 as an Early Years Practioner in Rising Stars. I then became a Learning Support Assistant in EYFS and i am now currently based in KS1. I love working with children, to me they're not just our pupils but are like our little extended families. When i'm not at work i spend all my free time with my gorgeous little family making lovely memories. I'm a mum of 2 boys and 2 girls. I have worked at WCPS since 2014.. My journey began in EYFS where I loved to see child initiated learning and observe how children explore,learn and develop through play. I spent 2 years in EYFS before my transition to KS 1. Doing this has allowed me to see how the children grow through each key stage and again spent 3 years in kS1. I made a leap of faith into KS2 in 2019 and I am absolutely loving my time upstairs. I have recently completed my HLTA which has really made me sit and think how I can be an effective part of a fabulous part of teaching and learning at WCPS. When I'm not in school, I love to spend time with my children and our two crazy chihuahuas.

I have two boys that are both in secondary school and my home is like a little zoo, I have 2 cats ,Peggy and Poppy, one hamster called Marleen, six fish and twenty stick insects! I have worked in school for around 9 years and started as a lunchtime assistant. I began working as a learning assistant nearly 7 years ago. I am based in EYFS so get to spend my days with 3-5 yr olds who keep me super busy. When I'm not at school I'm looking after my 2 teenage boys and my little dog. I love snuggling up under a blanket with a cup of tea and a book (Harry Potter is one of my favourites)!

Hi, my name is Miss Wogan and I've been here, at wcps, since 2013. I have a BA Honours in the social sciences: phychology and sociology. I have had various roles at wcps from spending time in the early years providing nurture interventions to 2 years in resource provision supporting children with SEND, including classroom support and providing speech and language interventions. I like to be kept busy as I am at home with my 3 children, 3 grandchildren, 2 dogs, 2 chickens, 15 rabbits (at present) and not to forget ...the goldfish.
I started work as an SEND teacher and I... scratch that...As one of the children once told me "You're just Gilly who plays out with us and helps us to be safe." I'm sometimes a pirate, sometimes a Viking, sometimes the crazy story teller but I always aim to make it fun. I'm just Gilly and Forest School is my jam!
