Boxes and Bandages

Our deconstructed role play can look like just any other pile of boxes but as soon as the children get in there those boxes come to life. Today someone picked up a bandage and said their leg hurt… Next thing you know the class 1 magic cupboard was opened and out came the stethoscopes. The children then built a hospital. The reception desk was manned constantly and the boys used cloakroom tickets to give patients a number. The x Ray machine idea was amazing, you stepped inside and your Doctor drew what they saw on the xrays. Luckily we had some real xrays we could look at as well.

Mrs Green

Year 1 Teacher

I'm Mrs Green and I joined WCPS in September 2019. I am passionate about Early years and can usually be found on the floor with our super 5 and 6 year olds. This year I have moved to teach in Year one! When I'm not at school I'll be with my children and dog on a muddy walk.
