Class 16

It was a real pleasure to be in the woods this morning with class 16. I was so proud of all if the children today as I watched them, they really have grown in to great learners. It’s hard to believe that I worked with some of them when they were only two and now they coming near to leaving!  They talked the talk when we discussed collaboration and assessing and managing risks. Then they walked the walk! I don’t think anyone needed reminders and it was brilliant to listen to the different groups and hear how they were listening and considering each others ideas and opinions. My favourite part of the morning though was in the fire circle!

This afternoon we had a little year 4 group which was also fabulous! The small group meant that all children were able to show some leadership skills.

Gilly

Forest School Practitioner

I started work as an SEND teacher and I... scratch that...As one of the children once told me "You're just Gilly who plays out with us and helps us to be safe." I'm sometimes a pirate, sometimes a Viking, sometimes the crazy story teller but I always aim to make it fun. I'm just Gilly and Forest School is my jam!
