F2 weekly overview

We are delighted that so many parents have approached us to share how well their child’s reading is going. We are equally impressed and it really is a joint effort between school and home. Promoting a love of reading, a joy of conversation and phonics skills are all essential to the success you are seeing.

This week we will continue with our twist on traditional tales and possibly meet a big bad wolf and some clever little pigs.

We will work with the whole part part model and adding two amounts.

In phonics we will continue our daily lessons with ur (nurse) ow(cow), oi(spoil) ear (hear).

As always we will explore many other things in line with the children’s interest and  this week we will be celebrating Chinese New year.

Mrs Green

Year 1 Teacher

I'm Mrs Green and I joined WCPS in September 2019. I am passionate about Early years and can usually be found on the floor with our super 5 and 6 year olds. This year I have moved to teach in Year one! When I'm not at school I'll be with my children and dog on a muddy walk.
