Forest School is back!

Welcome back to Forest School at Worsbrough Common Primary School.

Forest School is an important part of what we offer to our children. At this current time spending time outdoors is even more important for our health and wellbeing.

We have spent considerable time planning and preparing over the last few weeks to ensure we can safely deliver exciting, motivating and fun Forest School experiences of the same quality we were previously providing for our children.

Below you will find Forest School dates for the autumn term and a copy of the covid-19 specific risk assessment for Forest School which runs alongside the wider school risk assessment.

Your child will need to come to school in suitable footwear for Forest School, they may bring wellies in a carrier bag on the day instead of wearing wellies all day. Please write the child’s name in the bag and inside the wellies.

We understand that you or your children may be anxious about some activities, if you have any questions regarding Forest School please read the following risk assessment as it may address your concerns. Please ask if there is anything else you need to know.

Gilly

Forest School Practitioner

I started work as an SEND teacher and I... scratch that...As one of the children once told me "You're just Gilly who plays out with us and helps us to be safe." I'm sometimes a pirate, sometimes a Viking, sometimes the crazy story teller but I always aim to make it fun. I'm just Gilly and Forest School is my jam!
