Home Learning

This weekend, your home learning challenge is to watch these videos and write a ‘how to’ guide for plotting co-ordinates on axis, reflecting shapes on axis and translating shapes on axis.
You can write your guide on the blog or on paper.

First you will have plotted letters like ABC and D

1) reflect the shape
2) read the instructions
3) it might say translate this which means (move)
4) move A, then B, then c, then D one at a time
5) you are finished

you need to work out each coordinate and write them down and then you need to keep the X axis the same and make the y the opersites. Once you’ve got them I need to block them on the one below and join them up to make a shape.

Mrs Wigglesworth

Year 2 Teacher

Hi, I’m Mrs Wigglesworth and this is my 8th year teaching at WCPS. My favourite things to teach are Literacy and History, which I am really passionate about. In my spare time, I love watching Disney and Star Wars films, reading, and spending time with my husband and our beautiful baby girl, Iris.
