Looking after ourselves, each other and the NHS

This is my first blog post since we have been doing things differently. I thought it would be a good idea to keep adding things to the blog as I have been sharing things on Twitter and I thought it might be useful to keep them all together in one place.

The Forest School blog is going to look very different to what we usually post on it but some of the things I will be sharing, particularly in the videos are some of the important messages we think about when we go to the woods.

I think probably the most important thing we think about when we go to the woods is learning how we can look after ourselves, each other and the woods. This situation we are in at the moment means we are having to think about looking after ourselves, looking after each other and this time looking after the NHS. So even though we’re not able to go to our woods just now what we have learned about assessing and managing risks will be useful for us all.

This video explains some of the things that will help us all.

Gilly

Forest School Practitioner

I started work as an SEND teacher and I... scratch that...As one of the children once told me "You're just Gilly who plays out with us and helps us to be safe." I'm sometimes a pirate, sometimes a Viking, sometimes the crazy story teller but I always aim to make it fun. I'm just Gilly and Forest School is my jam!
