Phonics nonsense words

In the summer term children in Y1 will take a phonics screening test. This will test your child’s ability to sound out and blend words together using the different sounds that have been taught. Included in the screening test are “nonsense words” to decode and blend. Below are some nonsense words for your child to practise.
