Wednesday Home Learning

We have been working really hard to learn the first 6 letters of the phonics programme we use in school. These letters are s a t p I and n. Play the game below on busy things to recap these letters.

Now that you have learnt the letters s a t p I and n we can start to practise blending these phonemes to make words. Have a look at the blending video below.

There are lots of blending games on the internet to play aswell as the ones we subscribe to on BusyThings. Phonics play has a free login at the moment at https://new.phonicsplay.co.uk/ . A great game to play is Buried Treasure which practised blending. Please make sure you only select the letters we have learnt (phase 2).

Alternatively on Busy Things here are lots of blending games 🙂

To find these go to on Nursery – literacy – phonics – phase 2 – blending and segmenting.

I still haven’t caught the Evil Pea! Can you make a wanted poster for me and post it on your learning journey or twitter so that everyone knows to keep an eye out!

Thankyou

Mrs Evans

Hi I’m Mrs Evans. This is my sixth year working in foundation stage and I love it! When I’m not at school I spend my time with my two daughters. We like to go to the caravan at the weekends especially when it’s raining so that we can get cosy and play lots of board games!
