Weekly overview F2

This week in maths 5 is the magic number. Can we recognise the numerals 1,2,3,4,5? Can we represent these numbers with objects and pictures… Can we say what is one more and one less? I think we’ll be doing all this and more by Friday!

In phonics our sounds are f ff l ll ss. As usual as the end of the week we will send home a list of all the words we’ve been reading during phonics lessons.

In literacy our book is the Elephant and the bad baby. This was so popular during storytime a few weeks ago that we decided to use it in lessons.

We aim to follow the children’s interests and last week this led us to space as they learnt how to draw, paint to colour and add effects to rocket paintings. We also ended up with a great shop in class 1 as the children decided that after the Tiger came to Tea and ate all the food we needed to buy new supplies.
