Designing for a purpose. The children in year 5 are amazing. I have had 2 of my best mornings in the woods with them. They were so focused on the task of designing and building shelters to block the sun. I was blown away by how they just naturally follow the school rules and values. What an amazing year group.

I started work as an SEND teacher and I... scratch that...As one of the children once told me "You're just Gilly who plays out with us and helps us to be safe." I'm sometimes a pirate, sometimes a Viking, sometimes the crazy story teller but I always aim to make it fun. I'm just Gilly and Forest School is my jam!
