A dry day at last!

It has rained so much this week so we haven’t been able to go into the woods. That’s not really because we don’t want to get wet, sometimes though it’s raining so much that it wouldn’t be much fun in the woods. A big reason why we sometimes don’t go into the woods when it is very wet is so that we look after the woods. This is because if we all go in the woods when it is very wet and muddy we would shift the mud with our feet and risk exposing and damaging tree roots and other things that are growing.

It is always good to get back in the woods after the heavy rainfall.

Gilly

Forest School Practitioner

I started work as an SEND teacher and I... scratch that...As one of the children once told me "You're just Gilly who plays out with us and helps us to be safe." I'm sometimes a pirate, sometimes a Viking, sometimes the crazy story teller but I always aim to make it fun. I'm just Gilly and Forest School is my jam!
