Half Term happenings and the importance of following instructions
Coming back after the half term break I was met with a fallen tree. We had had storms in the holidays so I expected some damage but this was a little unusual. It was more like a part of a tree had fallen but not a branch. I wondered what had happened but of course Onion was able to explain.

Remember we told you about the baby unicorns and dragons that had hatched? Well because school was on holiday George the dragon was holding a school for young dragons in the woods. They would practise flying and blowing fire.
George had given out a very important rule. It was a rule to keep everyone and the woods safe. He said we do not blow fire inside the woods. Everyone said they understood this and the reason why.
George needed to go and collect something, he left the young dragons reminding them not to blow any fire in the woods. They all nodded.
When he left, they shattered and one qas saying he was going to try, he wanted everyone to try to blow fire. The others said no but one dragon tried to blow some fire. OH NO! A fireball flew from his mouth and hit a tree, there was a big bang and a flash and a big part of the tree fell down. The baby dragons were scared, it nearly hit them. George came dashing back. What has happened? The dragons ribbed and said it wasn’t them, they didn’t know what had happened. George was worried, he thought the woods weren’t safe and told the dragons that they would need to stop using the woods and maybe the children would also have to stop using the woods. It just wouldnt be safe if big parts of trees were falling for no reason. One of the dragons looked very scared and he said George it was me, I am very sorry. George was cross but he explained how important it was that the dragon had told the truth and that he was pleased he was brave enough to tell the truth. This meant that they could make the woods safe for everyone to use again. He also explained that we have rules and instructions to keep us safe. It’s not to stop people having fun or to just be bossy it’s usually to make sure everyone is kept safe.
I think the young dragons learned a valuable lesson that day.
